I remember a television series – some sort of mystery drama, possibly for children - in which a camera obscura was central to the plot.
I remember Radio Downloader, a brilliant piece of software that enabled you to download BBC radio programmes, which I would then stick on a USB key to listen to in the car on the way to work or on long trips. You could set up favourites, automatically record series or, as I mainly did, look through the Radio Times and pick odd things that looked interesting. Now the BBC has had the service taken down. I could put a cassette recorder next to the radio and record shows that way. I remember recording shows that way!
I remember a song, a couple of lines of which were: ‘Said she’d be there, at Trafalgar Square,’ but, apart from the tune and those words, that’s all I remember. I wish I knew who sang it or what it was called or where it comes from. I’ve scoured the internet for years but to no avail.
I remember catching a glimpse of the top of my head on a CCTV screen on a bus and having a horrible feeling that my hair was thinning. I have not checked. I’d rather not know.
I remember being able to put your bags in the luggage compartment under the stairs on a bus and being able to leave them there even if you went up on top.
I remember having a stress dream about wearing shoes in the house.
